Amazon confirmed the rename in its own newsroom: an editor’s note now sits at the top of the original February 2024 Rufus announcement and reads, verbatim, “On May 13, 2026, Rufus was renamed Alexa for Shopping.” The Rufus name is retired as a customer-facing brand. The Amazon Service Provider Network (SPN) is Amazon’s own directory of third-party service providers — photographers, cataloging teams, ad agencies, VAT firms, prep centers — that sellers can browse and contact from inside Seller Central. You need one whenever your goods cross a customs border and a declaration is lodged in your name — which for Amazon sellers means importing stock into a UK or EU fulfilment centre.
