AutoDS Review 2026: Real Cost After Add-ons, and Which Amazon Plan Makes Sense
AutoDS is a capable dropshipping automation suite, but on Amazon the headline price is not the price you pay. The Amazon plan family starts at $64.90/month (Import, up to 200 products), yet that tier leaves out price and stock monitoring and automated orders; both start on Starter at $89.90/month (data checked 2026-09-30). Add the Orders Processor add-on that sign-up pre-selects and Amazon’s own $39.99/month Professional plan, and a working Amazon setup runs close to $140 a month before you sell anything.
This AutoDS review is about that gap: what each Amazon tier includes, which add-ons bill on top, how the $1 trial turns into a full charge on day four, and which plan makes sense for a given catalogue size. Every price below was read from the rendered AutoDS pricing page on its Amazon tab, and every billing rule from the AutoDS Help Center, on 2026-09-30.
AutoDS Review in Brief: Who It Fits on Amazon
AutoDS sells one subscription per selling channel. Its pricing page carries eight channel tabs (eBay, Shopify, Facebook, Amazon, Wix, WooCommerce, Etsy and TikTok), and the Amazon tab is the most expensive of them: the cheapest Amazon plan costs $64.90/month, while the Shopify, Wix, WooCommerce and Etsy tabs start at $26.90/month (data checked 2026-09-30).
| Question | Short answer (data checked 2026-09-30) |
|---|---|
| Cheapest Amazon plan | Import, $64.90/mo or $49.90/mo billed annually |
| Cheapest plan with price and stock monitoring | Starter, $89.90/mo or $69.90/mo billed annually |
| Add-ons on the pricing page | Auto ordering system $9.90/mo, VA Access $14.97/mo, Product finding hub $14.97/mo, Mentor $39.97/mo |
| Trial | 3 days; the page header says $0.99, the FAQ and buttons say $1 |
| After the trial | Auto-renews at full price; annual plans bill the full year upfront |
It fits a seller who already knows the Amazon dropshipping model, has a supplier arrangement that satisfies Amazon’s rules, and needs to keep 200 to 1,000 listings in sync without doing it by hand. It fits poorly anyone still testing whether the model works: the Amazon tab costs more than twice the Shopify tab, and the plan that actually automates the loop is the second one, not the first. If you are still weighing the model itself, start with Amazon FBA vs dropshipping.
AutoDS Pricing for Amazon: What Each Tier Includes
The Amazon tab lists four tiers, sized by product count. Each card shows two numbers: the annual price per month and the month-to-month price.
| Amazon plan | Monthly billing | Billed annually (per month) | Annual saving shown | Products | Variations |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Import | $64.90 | $49.90 | $180 | up to 200 | 200 |
| Starter | $89.90 | $69.90 | $240 | 201 to 500 | 500 |
| Advanced | $149.90 | $119 | $371 | 501 to 1,000 | 1,000 |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | — | 1,000+ | 2,000+ |

The feature comparison table on the same tab is where the real difference sits. According to that table (data checked 2026-09-30), Import includes product research, the draft, order and product managers, the image editor, the Chrome extension, the business dashboard and 24/7 ticket support. It does not mark the following, all of which start at Starter:
- Price and Stock Monitor
- Automated Orders
- Fulfilled by AutoDS service
- Automatic Tracking Updates
- Bulk Product Importer and Full Product Editor
- Smart Pricing Rule System
Advanced adds VIP support and management of up to three stores. In practice, Import is a catalogue and import tool; Starter is the first plan that runs the dropshipping loop. The billing toggle is labelled “Annual (25% off)”, but on the Amazon tab the actual discounts work out to about 23% on Import, 22% on Starter and 21% on Advanced, based on the listed prices.
The Real Cost After Add-ons
AutoDS prices add-ons separately from plans. The pricing page’s add-on panel lists four, all billed per month (data checked 2026-09-30):
| Add-on | Price | What the page says it does |
|---|---|---|
| Auto ordering system | $9.90/mo | Fulfils orders automatically, updates tracking numbers, sends 3 automatic messages to buyers |
| VA Access | $14.97/mo | Unlimited VA access with store access controls |
| Product finding hub | $14.97/mo | Winning-product research, stores selling the same product, a TikTok ads spy tool |
| Mentor | $39.97/mo | A mentor for dropshipping questions |
The add-on the sign-up flow cares about is order processing. The Help Center’s sign-up article states: “The Orders Processor add-on is pre-selected by default.” It also tells you: “If you do not want the Orders Processor, uncheck it before proceeding.” The Help Center does not print the Orders Processor price on that page; a third-party pricing write-up from alidrop.co (September 2026) identifies it with the $9.90/month auto ordering system.
Usage is sold separately again. The same article lists credit purchases “such as AI Credits, AO Credits, or Auto Finder Credits,” and the pricing FAQ says extra Finder or auto-order credits “are add-ons which will be at an additional charge to your regular plan.” The pricing page does not list credit prices, so budget them only after checking inside the account.
Here is what a month looks like on monthly billing, using the listed prices. Amazon’s Professional selling plan is paid to Amazon, not AutoDS ($39.99/month, US store, checked 2026-09-09; see Individual vs Professional plan).
| Setup (monthly billing) | AutoDS plan | Add-ons | Amazon Professional | Total per month |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Import, nothing added | $64.90 | $0 | $39.99 | $104.89 |
| Starter + pre-selected order add-on | $89.90 | $9.90 | $39.99 | $139.79 |
| Starter + all four add-ons | $89.90 | $79.81 | $39.99 | $209.70 |
| Advanced + order add-on | $149.90 | $9.90 | $39.99 | $199.79 |
Credits, supplier product costs, Amazon referral fees and returns come on top of every row. The middle row is the realistic floor for an automated Amazon store: $139.79 a month, or $1,677.48 over twelve months, before the first order.
The $1 Trial: How Auto-Renewal Works
The pricing page is not consistent about the trial’s price. Its header reads “3 Day Trial For $0.99. Cancel Any Time.” while its FAQ says: “We offer a 3 day trial period on all our automated dropshipping packages, for just $1.” The plan buttons read “START NOW FOR $1” (all checked 2026-09-30). Either way, the fee is nominal; what matters is day four.
The Help Center’s sign-up article is explicit about what happens next:
- The subscription “automatically renews at the full plan price for the chosen billing cycle.”
- “If an annual plan was selected at registration, the full annual amount is billed upfront when the trial ends.” On Amazon Starter that is 12 × $69.90 = $838.80 in one charge; on Advanced, $1,428.
- “Add-ons are charged separately at the same time as the plan.” So the pre-selected order add-on bills on the same day unless you removed it.
- “Add-ons have their own independent trial,” which means removing the plan and removing an add-on are separate checks worth doing.
The article’s own worked example: a trial started on August 1 is first charged in full on August 4. The subscription-billing pattern here is common across seller software; our guide to subscription billing traps covers the wider set.
Stopping the charge has two routes, both under Settings → Account & Billing → “Manage/Cancel Account”, according to the pause-or-cancel article (checked 2026-09-30):
- Pause. “Billing is suspended during the 30-day pause period,” and a trial’s conversion charge is delayed. But “order fulfillment and automation stop immediately,” and the account reactivates and resumes billing on its own after 30 days.
- Cancel. “Canceling your AutoDS subscription cancels all active subscription plans and add-ons, closes your AutoDS account, and permanently deletes your data after 14 days.”
If you subscribed through the Shopify App Store, the same article says uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription; that path does not apply to an Amazon-only account, but it catches multi-channel users.
Where AutoDS Is Strong, and Where It Falls Short
Strengths, from the official pages:
- Amazon is a named channel with its own plans, not a bolt-on. The comparison table covers monitoring, automated orders, tracking updates and bulk editing in one subscription from Starter up.
- Fulfilled by AutoDS lets you load a balance and have AutoDS place orders using its own buyer accounts, instead of managing supplier logins yourself (pricing page, data checked 2026-09-30).
- Clean pause option. A 30-day billing pause that keeps stores and products is more flexible than most seller tools offer.
- Annual billing saves $180 to $371 a year on the Amazon tiers, if you are already sure of the model.
Weaknesses and costs to plan for:
- The entry tier is not the automation tier. Import at $64.90/month has no price and stock monitoring and no automated orders. On Amazon, stale price or stock data is how you end up selling items you cannot fulfil.
- The Amazon tab carries a premium. The same Starter-level automation costs $39.90/month on the Shopify tab against $89.90/month on Amazon (data checked 2026-09-30).
- Stackable charges. Plan, add-ons with separate trials, and credit packs each bill on their own schedule, which makes the true monthly figure hard to see from the pricing card.
- Inconsistent trial copy ($0.99 in the header, $1 in the FAQ and buttons) is minor, but it is the kind of detail that erodes trust at checkout.
Price complaints about seller software follow the same patterns across vendors; our breakdown of seller software pricing complaints shows how to read them.
AutoDS does not decide whether your sourcing is allowed. Amazon’s rules on who must be the seller of record, and eBay’s rules if you run Amazon-to-eBay instead, apply regardless of the software; our Amazon dropshipping tools guide quotes the relevant policy lines and compares AutoDS with Doba, Spocket and Inventory Source.
Which AutoDS Amazon Plan Makes Sense
Work through these gates in order.
- Is your sourcing Amazon-compliant? If not, no tier helps. Settle this first with the FBA vs dropshipping comparison.
- Do you need live price and stock sync? Almost every Amazon dropshipper does, because a listing that stays live after the supplier sells out becomes a cancellation. If yes, skip Import and start at Starter.
- How many products will you keep live? Up to 500 fits Starter; 501 to 1,000 fits Advanced, which also adds up to three stores. Above 1,000, Enterprise pricing is only available from sales.
- Monthly or annual? Take the trial on monthly billing. Annual saves $240 a year on Starter, but it bills $838.80 upfront when the trial ends. Switch to annual once the numbers hold.
- Which add-ons are you actually using? Keep the order add-on if you rely on automated ordering; drop VA Access, the finding hub and Mentor until you have a concrete use for each.
For most sellers, the answer is Starter on monthly billing with the order add-on: $99.80/month to AutoDS, plus $39.99/month to Amazon. If you mainly need a supplier catalogue rather than automation on Amazon, compare Spocket alternatives before committing.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does AutoDS cost for Amazon?
On the Amazon tab, AutoDS costs $64.90/month for Import, $89.90/month for Starter and $149.90/month for Advanced, or $49.90, $69.90 and $119 per month billed annually; Enterprise is custom-priced (data checked 2026-09-30). Amazon’s Professional plan ($39.99/month) is billed separately by Amazon.
Is the AutoDS trial free?
No. The trial lasts three days and costs a nominal fee: the pricing page header says $0.99 and the FAQ says $1 (data checked 2026-09-30). At the end of the trial the plan renews at full price, and an annual plan bills the whole year upfront.
Does the cheapest AutoDS Amazon plan include price and stock monitoring?
No. The Amazon comparison table marks Price and Stock Monitor, Automated Orders and Automatic Tracking Updates from Starter ($89.90/month) upward, not on Import (data checked 2026-09-30).
What happens to my data if I cancel AutoDS?
According to the AutoDS Help Center, cancelling closes the account, ends all plans and add-ons, and permanently deletes your data after 14 days (checked 2026-09-30). Pausing instead suspends billing for up to 30 days and keeps your stores and products.
Conclusion
AutoDS is a credible choice for Amazon dropshipping automation, but judge it on the Starter price, not the Import price. Starter plus the pre-selected order add-on is $99.80/month to AutoDS, and $139.79/month once Amazon’s Professional plan is included (data checked 2026-09-30). Take the trial on monthly billing, check the add-on list before day four, and move to annual only when your margins cover that figure.
